Our Mission
The mission of our Ladyfinger Playschool & Day-Care institutions is to provide a safe,
nurturing, and stimulating environment where our young children can learn, grow, and develop
to their full potential.
1. Providing a Safe and Secure Environment: Ensuring that the physical space is child-friendly and free from hazards and potential dangers. Children should be supervised at all times to ensure their safety. The centre should have proper safety measures in place to ensure the physical safety of the children. This includes things like childproofing, first aid kits, and emergency procedures.
2. Offering Developmentally Appropriate Activities: Providing activities that are age-appropriate and stimulate the child’s cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. These activities can include play, storytelling, music, art, and physical activities. The centre should provide opportunities for children to interact with their peers and develop important social and emotional skills such as sharing, taking turns, and expressing their feelings.
3. Fostering a love of learning: Encouraging children to be curious and enthusiastic about learning. Activities should be designed to encourage exploration, discovery, and problem-solving.
4. Encouraging Cognitive Development: The centre should offer a variety of age-appropriate activities and materials to promote cognitive development, such as books, puzzles, and games.
5. Promoting Physical Development: The centre should offer opportunities for children to engage in Physical Activity, such as outdoor play and movement activities, to promote physical development.
6. Providing Nutritious Meals and Snacks: The centre should provide healthy and nutritious meals and snacks that meet the dietary needs of the children.
7. Encouraging Socialization and Interpersonal Skills: Providing opportunities for children to interact with their peers, develop friendships, and learn important social skills like sharing, cooperation, and empathy.
8. Building a Partnership with Parents: Working closely with parents to ensure that the child’s needs are being met and that there is open communication between the centre and the family.
9. Involve Families: The centre should involve families in their child’s learning and development, through regular communication and opportunities for parent involvement like introducing the concept of Parent Helpers.
